A Sunday to Remember

SuiteKIDS Foundation (SKF) joined forces with LifeSTEPS on Sunday, August 7th, to bring 8 young ladies to a Los Angeles Sparks game at Staples Center. SKF received a luxury suite donation from Commerce Casino that enabled the girls, aged 9 to 17, to enjoy catered food in the privacy of their own suite!

The day started off in style! Ky, from Orbit Limo, picked everyone up in a black stretch limousine and brought them to the front of Staples Center. They were greeted by Sparky, the LA Sparks mascot, who posed for pictures with them. The girls were led to their own VIP entrance up to Luxury Suite A41, where they quickly picked out their seats, grabbed some snacks and watched a gospel choir sing the Star Spangled Banner. The Sparks were ready to take on Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx….and the girls were ready to cheer them on!

Our goal for the game was to get on that JumboTron! With the help of some bright "Go Sparks" signs and waving arms, we did it! With 34 seconds left in the game, the SuiteKIDS made it on the big screen! The arena was full of energy as the Sparks tried to rally from behind! The kids were pumped and so were the Sparks!

To wrap up an eventful day, the girls met 2 Sparks players during a private autograph session following the game. As they walked out of Staples Center, their stretch limo was waiting to take them home! VIPs from start to finish!
