An Unforgettable Night of Surprises and Inspiration

On August 26th, 2011, SuiteKIDS Foundation collaborated with the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools to treat 8 Roosevelt High School Varsity girls basketball players to an exciting WNBA game at Staples Center. The Partnership LA, initiated by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, is among the largest public school improvement projects in the US, benefiting nearly 20,000 students across 21 schools in some of LA’s most underserved areas.

The evening kicked off with surprises! The girls and their coaches were chauffeured from their high school by Gregory of Jackson Limousine, traveling in style in a black stretch limo filled with refreshments for the journey to the arena. Upon arrival, the girls enjoyed taking photos in Star Plaza alongside bronze statues. Gabriel from the Sparks organization welcomed the group and guided them onto the arena floor, setting the stage for the next surprise.

Forming a human tunnel for the Sparks players, the Roosevelt girls witnessed the team’s pre-game ritual, exchanging high-fives for good luck as the players hit the court. With smiles stretching from ear to ear, the girls were thrilled to watch their sports heroes prepare for a professional basketball game.

Entering their luxury suite, courtesy of Club Corp, the girls wasted no time grabbing refreshments and heading to their seats for the Star-Spangled Banner performance. Throughout the game, they cheered passionately for the Sparks, aiming to secure a spot on the JumboTron. Their enthusiastic dancing and shouts caught the cameraman’s attention, leading to an exciting moment on the big screen. Sparky, the Sparks mascot, even paid a surprise visit to the suite, delighting the girls with photo opportunities.

After the game, the surprises continued as the girls enjoyed an autograph session with some of the Sparks players, getting their tickets, shirts, and programs signed. To conclude the memorable evening, Gregory awaited outside with the limousine to safely transport the girls back to Roosevelt High School, where they were gearing up to start another school year.

Once again, SuiteKIDS ensured that these deserving young athletes felt like VIPs from start to finish, creating lasting memories and inspiring them for the future.

Elevating Lives Through VIP Sporting Events: A Sunday to Remember

On a memorable Sunday, SuiteKIDS Foundation (SKF) collaborated with LifeSTEPS to provide a remarkable experience for 8 young ladies at a Los Angeles Sparks game at Staples Center. Thanks to a generous luxury suite donation from Commerce Casino, the girls, aged 9 to 17, enjoyed catered food in the privacy of their own suite.

The day commenced in style as Ky, from Orbit Limo, chauffeured everyone in a black stretch limousine to the front of Staples Center. Greeted by Sparky, the LA Sparks mascot, the girls posed for pictures before being escorted to their VIP entrance leading to Luxury Suite A41. There, they selected their seats, indulged in snacks, and witnessed a gospel choir sing the Star-Spangled Banner. With excitement brewing, the Sparks prepared to face off against Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx, and the girls eagerly cheered them on.

The highlight of the game was to make it onto the JumboTron, and with bright “Go Sparks” signs and waving arms, the SuiteKIDS achieved their goal! With just 34 seconds left, they appeared on the big screen, adding to the electric atmosphere as the Sparks rallied. The energy was palpable, with both the kids and the Sparks feeling pumped up.

To conclude the eventful day, the girls had the privilege of meeting two Sparks players during a private autograph session post-game. As they exited Staples Center, their stretch limousine awaited, ensuring a VIP experience from start to finish.
